Subject: Saturday Night Daegu

Went to Daegu last night with two of my friends from France, Mohammad and Christophe. Daegu is like the foreigner city they have all the western restaurants and many foreigners live there because of the military bases. It's was a nice vacation from Gyeongju. I went shoe shopping found some cool Nikes that have a rooster embroidered on the top. We went to Outback for dinner wasn't too impressed but I don't really like steak I never know how to order it or which cut to chose.

The main reason for going was of course the bars and I had a lot of fun I dragged my friend Cristy along because she never wants to leave the house. We started off at a bar called Communes it's a small little hole in the wall kind of rustic inside the floors and walls are all wood. Tonight was there open mic and it was far from great lol I thought the first performer was tuning his guitar it wasn't until the faint applause began that I realized that was supposed to be a song. We stayed at Communes for a bit other than the music it's a nice homey place 9,000 won pitchers of beer kept us there for 3 more.

After Communes we made our way to the " G.I club" Called Old School. The bartenders suck and the crowd is not that great but the DJ is really good. Most of the night I was chased around by some old, weird, Indian man. He even followed me to the bathroom. I couldn't shake him. As we were leaving he slapped my butt, I turn around and there's Cristy shaking her finger at him screaming "Don't you ever touch my friends". And the Indian guy is just sitting there with his hands in a prayer position bowing to Cristy. It was a funny sight. The guy was so weird.

Afterwards we hobbled over to Burger King, Cristy walked Shoeless (her feet hurt) through the dirt and rocks on the road (they were doing construction.) But she was ok with it she says she's part Native American so she's used to walking barefoot lol. After burger king she couldn't bare it anymore so Momo stole a wheel barrel off the street and starting wheeling her towards the car. We got back to Gyeongju at around 5am. It was a really fun night!

About Me

Im just trying to find myself in this crazy world that tries to tell you who you are supposed to be. Im walking a jagged line, with no destination in mind, trying to catch up with my dreams.

I made this blog to help motivate me to write as much as I can while I spend a year teaching english in South Korea, check back often I will try to keep this updated regularly.

My Life Motto: There is going to be some stuff that you are going to see. That is going to make it hard to smile in the future. But through whatever you see, through all the rain and the pain, You got to keep your sense of humor You got to be able to SMILE through all this Bull Shit. Remember that.... .
